There’s some great up close shots here of the car somewhere in California.  The interior also includes the brushed aluminum inserts on the door and dash too. Looks great!

Anyway – this car looks super hot with this interior color scheme and would surely be a reason to spend a little more on this car.  I know I would!

It looks like a marketing or “promo” shot for an E39 M5.  I’m not sure if this was a photo taken for BMW, or one that a professional photographer took of someone’s car.

What’s clear to me about this picture however, is that the focus is clearly on the INTERIOR of the car because everything else is a cool blue.  What else I notice here is that this is taken of a 2000 M5.  Wonder how to tell? 

Easy…

The Navi screen and steering wheel.  Those are from the 2000 model.  The navi screen is the 4:3 ratio which was changed in 2001 to the 16:9 ratio.  Also – the steering wheel is the 2000 model steering wheel changed in 2001.

I really like this shot because it showcases the interior amenities of the E39 M5 at night extremely well – in fact you can see with perfect detail all the little buttons and switches that are lit up with the trademark BMW interior red lighting.

To top of the picture – the image of the runway outside the car – ahead… kind of beckons you to get in and take the Beast for a full speed run from one end of the runway to the other. 

This picture was taken with an ISO speed of 160 (slow and suitable for night) and a four second exposure length to allow the lights a chance to get fully capture.
