This 2000 E39 m5 sold in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for $13,900.  It had 81,450 miles and a very popular color combination.  My guess is that it went for a bit less that you’d expect for two reasons:
1. The time of the year – it was sold on December 22nd.
2. The Model year – generally speaking 2000′s don’t fetch as much as subsequent years because they are known as the “pre-facelift” models.

The can also had some accident/ damage history reported and parts of the interior were a little rough.  Having said all of the above – to be able to own a car like this for less than $15,000 is simply incredible.
