E39 M5 Euro-spec Celis “LED” Tail Light

This is a do it yourself site that features the installation of the Euro-spec Celis “Led” tail light retro kit on your E39 M5.

Aside from the kit, you will need a touch-up paint or other anti corrosion metal treatment, tape or equivalent cable-management parts, plastic bag and a fastening tape. A Philips PY21W SilverVision bulb is highly recommended.

You would also need the following tools: door panel puller, metric ruler, punch tool, drill, dremel, file, ratchet and vacuum cleaner.

A better detailed instruction with exact measurements can be found in the Hella install guide that should come with the Euro-spec assembly light retro-fit kit but the pictures on this page will give you an idea as to how easy or difficult the job can be.
