The E39 M5 Video Guide Blog

There’s so much content out there about  going fast in the m5.  Too much of it is reckless and a little too close for comfort IMHO.  Here’s an example of a situation where 5 young men were going very fast on a runway said to be used by John Travolta and others in what appears to be a BMW e60 m5. 

It makes me sad because this doesn’t have to be the case. Whether you drive and e34 m5, e60m5 or e39 m5 – you don’t have to trash the car or always be going as fast as possible to enjoy it.  And safety is the key.

I strongly recommend that anyone who buys these cars goes and gets some performance driving training from guys like Mario Andretti’s school in Vegas or Skip Barber’s school.

There’s lots of others too.  Anyway – I am sorry to be even writing about this tragic event – but I wanted it to serve as reminder that we must be careful and take many precautions when pushing the beast to the limit.
