3 Cars that still hold their own with the E39 m5

Well…back in the day, it was the Jag XJR, the Benz e55 and more recently the Audi RS6.   All serious contenders with loyal followers in all marques.  However, the e39 m5 still trumps them all.  The Audi showed up in 2002 and delivered a whopping 444 horsepower and is probably the next most likely car that I would buy out of this lot because of Audi’s technical prowess compared with the Jag and the Merc.

There is an article about these cars published today called Dream motors, real world cash that does a nice job summarizing all these cars and what they’re all about today.

Granted all these cars were king of the hill in their day, but when you look at what stuff costs today – it’s no wonder that cars like these remain very attractive options for those who don’t have 100k to burn.

In fact many of these cars are very affordable and seriously worth looking into.

Anyway, I liked the above article and think it’s worth a read.
